Rock Art Information

Due to its remoteness and rugged inaccessibility the Waterberg has always been sparsely populated. However the area is rich in rock-art sites of both San people, Khoi and Iron Age farmers known as bushman paintings. Lapalala itself has identified 13 sites within the reserve, one of which is directly below Noka Camp.
